Biography

Danny Toler has almost 30 years of experience leading government programs. As the Acting Assistant Secretary of the Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C), Mr. Toler oversees five major divisions and manages a fiscal year budget of over $1 billion. His organization leads efforts to protect the federal civilian government against cyber attacks, and works with other federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and private sector partners to share actionable cyber threat information. He’s held leadership roles in two of the organization’s major divisions: Network Security Deployment (NSD) and Federal Network Resilience (FNR). In each of those roles, he managed the development and deployment of technologies and services to strengthen the Federal Government’s cybersecurity posture. Prior to CS&C, Mr. Toler managed the Department of State’s network communications for 300 sites around the world, he served in the United States Air Force, and he is a graduate of Charleston Southern University.
